A man with short, dark hair and a broad smile is seen from the chest up, wearing a dark blazer over a white collared shirt with an open collar. The background is a blurred outdoor landscape featuring dense green trees and a large, light-colored building with a prominent tower.

Director of Israel Government Fellows Program

“I would warmly recommend Jenna to any organization or project focusing on Israel – in particular Israel advocacy…”

Jenna was a participant on the Israel Government Fellows Program (IGF) of the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem, Israel, from September 2012 until June this year.

IGF is a unique leadership program, lasting ten months, for exceptional candidates from around the world. It offers participants firsthand experience working in Israel’s government offices, combined with educational programming, and is the only gateway for non-Israelis to work within the Israeli government system.

The program recruits young university graduates with outstanding potential. We believe the internship will be a crucial stepping-stone in their professional lives. The program aims also to strengthen the ties these future leaders have with Israel and Zionism.

We accept only a limited number of the dozens of applicants we receive each year. Jenna impressed us immediately with her commitment to Israel advocacy and willingness to work hard and apply herself in order to get a job done, and done to a high standard.
In her time here, Jenna worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its Unit to Combat Delegitimization. We know from her professional mentor that she was very well regarded by colleagues in her office and she was given responsibility for a number of important projects.

In our program’s series of professional seminars, where Fellows hear from high profile speakers from the worlds of politics, academia, and others, Jenna was always ready with a question and enjoyed bringing her own perspective as a South African – the only representative of that country in group. I think she enjoyed learning new things and participating in group discussions. She would often speak her mind but was always respectful and polite in her tone, which I greatly appreciated.

I would warmly recommend Jenna to any organization or project focusing on Israel – in particular Israel advocacy. I believe she has a great deal offer in this area and I can guarantee that she would approach every task that required her attention with seriousness and devotion.

A black and white photograph captures three Jacob Sheep standing in a row within a pen. Each sheep exhibits the characteristic black and white facial markings and patterned wool, along with horns of varying shapes. They are strongly backlit, creating bright halos of light around their wool. The background is a blurred light-toned wall and hay on the ground.
