On behalf of the Embassy of Israel in Canada, it is with great pleasure that I offer this letter of support for Gil and Jenna Lewinsky’s not-for-profit organization, The Friends of Jacob Sheep. Our embassy has closely followed and assisted them in their work for several years and we fully support their selfless mission to conserve the ancient heirloom Jacob Sheep flock and bring them back to their nation of origin—the State of Israel.

The extensive and high-profile media coverage, including reports in The New York Times, CBC News, Reuters and The Jerusalem Post, is a testament to both the passion of the Lewinskys and the significance of their mission. Considering the close friendship between Canada and Israel, it would be fitting to have a farm from Abbotsford, British Columbia play a key role in bringing back Jacob’s Flock to Israel. We wish the Lewinskys success and our embassy is open to facilitate any requests.
