“I had the privilege to assist Jenna and Gil Lewinsky on their project…”

To whom it may concern

I had the privilege to assist Jenna and Gil Lewinsky on their project to send the rare breed of Jacob Sheep to Israel during my tenure as Ambassador to Canada from 2013-2016.

The initiative was a complete success due to the perseverance showed by Jenna and Gil. The team’s hard work and dedication to a dream is a testament of it. They showed professionalism with an ability to network with various donors, the Jewish community and Christian friends of Israel , and government agencies in Canada and Israel. The media coverage of the very nice and moving story of bringing back the Jacob Sheep to the land of their ancestors, widespread not only in Canada but also all over the world and in many languages. Our Embassy played an active role on it.

I wish both the very best of success in their future endeavours.

A black and white photograph captures three Jacob Sheep standing in a row within a pen. Each sheep exhibits the characteristic black and white facial markings and patterned wool, along with horns of varying shapes. They are strongly backlit, creating bright halos of light around their wool. The background is a blurred light-toned wall and hay on the ground.
